I loved my dad dearly and he was a good man. He taught me and my twin sister so much. We really miss him!

My Dad

My Dad was a good man
his head held high with pride
No matter what his worries
he kept them all inside.
Our meals were often meager
and we didnt mind in the least
with Dad at the table
every meal was a feast.
He filled us full of war stories
and all his walks in the snow
he filled us with his knowledge
But the Lord said he must go
Dad is in heaven now
and our teardrops are few
I know hes still watching ne
like he did when I was two.

They say that time heals,
And I don't believe it for a minute,
We simply learn to cope,
However we take with us the smiles,
The joys and the memories
That will never fade
Along with the love
Thats clearly there
In our hearts.

Your grand daughter,you never met

You were gone before she was born,
She only seen you in pictures.
Yet for reasons unknown, for you she morns.
Some times she cry's late at night,
she says i miss my papa,
Said with such fright.
Her eyes filled with tears,
Her heart full of pain.
So your picture i give to calm her fears.
Next to her your picture lies,
After holding you close,
Her tears they dry.
There's a bond that connects the both of you,
One unexplainable by most,
But understood by two.
Shes special to me,
And apparently to you.
So i want to thank you,
For loving my Boo.

Dear Dad In Heaven

I sit here and ponder how very much
I'd like to talk with you today
There are so many things
That we didn't get to say.
I know how much you care for me
And how much I care for you,
And each time that I think of you
I know you'll miss me too.
An angel came and took you by the hand, and said
Your place was ready in Heaven, far above . . .
And you had to leave behind, all those you dearly loved
You had so much to live for, you had so much to do . . .
It still seems impossible that God was taking you.
And though your life on earth is past, in Heaven it starts anew
You'll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you.
And though you've walked through Heaven's gate
We are never far apart
For every time I think of you,
You're right here, deep with-in my heart
